Natural Ways to Get Healthy Shiny Curly Hair

After years of chemically treating one's hair, people are slowly but surely realizing the worth of natural hair. The need for chemically treating curly hair is the lack of acceptance people have for hair with natural curves. However, with continuous efforts, people with curly hair have shown how they can look equally gorgeous like straight hair people.

Many are of the opinion that the time involved in controlling frizzy curly hair is what makes them prone towards treating their hair chemically. However, with a little bit of patience, and regular hydrating and taking care of one's curls, one can get voluminous shiny and healthy looking curls. If the curls are well taken care of in the initial stage, then constant supervision will not be required in the later period.

Maintaining curls naturally

In order to get healthy and shiny curls, there are various natural remedies available. Let us discuss them.

Flaxseed

Flaxseeds are the first and foremost important and extremely essential ingredient in your goal of achieving healthy and shiny curls. One can boil flaxseeds at home and after a certain time, they will get to see, the seeds secreting a thick, colorless gel. This gel is extremely effective in developing curls naturally and one needs not any addition gel or serum to control the frizz. One can mix lavender or other essential oils to it or can refrigerate this gel for using regularly.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is extremely effective in hydrating and nourishing curls as curls require more nutrition than straight hair because of their dry nature. It is advisable to use extra virgin coconut oils, as that will help one to utilize all the properties of coconut oil in its purest form.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera makes a good hair conditioner for hair. One can cut the leaves of aloe vera and extract the colorless gel from the inside of the leaves. It not only hydrates curly hair but also helps in cleansing impurities and product build-up from hair.

Avocado

Another useful ingredient that helps in making healthy curly hair is avocado. One can make a hair mask from avocado or use its oils to hydrate and nourish curly hair.

Jojoba

Jojoba oil is lightweight oil that effectively nourishes curly hair. In fact, people can replace coconut oil with jojoba oil, if the former appears too heavy for them.

Eggs

Eggs make for a good protein treatment for the curly hair. They can be mixed with avocado paste or oil and applied on curly hair. Leaving them for about 30 minutes or more (depending on the length and volume of hair), they can be washed off with a Sulphate/Silicone free shampoo.

Apple cider Vinegar

Rinsing curly hair with Apple cider vinegar (ACV) not only adds shine to the hair but also helps in cleansing the scalp and removing dandruff. However, it is advisable to not apply ACV directly to your scalp, rather dilute it with water.

Apart from applying all the above-mentioned natural ingredients, the most important step one must follow is to use a Sulfate free, Silicone free as well as Paraben free shampoo followed by a Silicone free conditioner. Otherwise, the qualities of all the natural ingredients would not be restored.
