Bounce Curl - Light Creme Gel - 8 Oz
This is a light weight styling hair gel that is infused with extracts of nourishing ingredients. This product does have a holding ingredient in here to help define your curls. It is mostly a gel with a little bit of cream. 80% Gel and 20% cream. It will leave your hair feeling weightless and it will lock your curl shape in for a long time, reducing frizz. This light formula will not weigh your hair down and it will allow you to create volume. Black seed oil is one of the secret middle eastern oils that has been used by my family and I for many years. This oil restores, shines, and has some anecdotal evidence in giving the appearance of longer hair. This oil has many other benefits.
Use on extremely wet hair. The product will soak some of the water once you apply it. Part hair in a couple sections, distribute it from the top to bottom. Scrunch your hair up and down. Water can be dripping down from your hands while you scrunch. This will help with frizz. Air dry or diffuse.
THIN HAIR: For thin hair, use a small amount of gel in wet hair on different sections of your hair. Scrunch your hair up and down. Use the Bounce Curl microfiber towel to scrunch excess water. Lastly, air dry or diffuse. If you have "DRY HAIR", please use a leave in or cream before you apply Bounce curl light creme gel.
THICK HAIR or DRY hair: Use your creams, leave in conditioners and lastly, top it off with the Bounce Curl gel for that extra hold. It will help define those beautiful curls without making it feel crunchy. Some oils of different products will repel the Bounce curl oils. If you feel a "squeaky" reaction when you apply the gel, that just means that the cream is not compatible with the gel. That is still ok because once your hair is dry, it will look incredible. Bounce curl is currently waiting for hair cream to finish in the lab. In the meantime, you can use your regular hair creams and combine it with Bounce Curl gel

By far the worst gel I have used.
Had I known this product was full of protein..I would have never ever bought it ..makes the hair super dry ..the reason I bought it was the butta of bounce curl was full of moisture so assumed this would be a great pair up .. in one of the regular post NYNM on being asked told me that to know if it was suitable not , you should read the ingredients. I wish I was such a pro to understand by ingredients. All I have learnt so far is paraben free and sulfate free are good for CGs.
I think NYNM IS doing a fab job by bringing in international products... They need to go a notch higher in their listing information. And if the porosity of the hair is so important for curly gal hair...even more reason all the listings should mention this.
Low porosity people a big no no!!
We regret that this product didn't work for you. And coming to the categorization of products, we are presently working on coming up with such a feature on our website. We hope our customers will be able to shop for their products easily in coming days :)
The perfect amalgamation for my hair when used along with knottoday leave in. It's very light as the name suggests.
There was time when I used to just stare at the results from bouncecurl products on the gram.
It's a wonder that it's made available in India , all thanks to nynm ! ✨
For those new to the curl wagon , I'd suggest getting this product first or the clump and define 💖from bouncecurl range if confused.
When I jumped on the modified-CGM bandwagon, this was a gel I came across constantly. It was in fact one of my first purchases for my high-porosity, 2B-3A waves/curls. I really, really wanted to love it. And I did. On washday, I used this after applying a pea-sized amount of the Bounce Curl Creme.
My hair was on point - my waves were soft, defined and lustrous (words I've never had the opportunity to use when it comes to my hair). The next day though, it was a righteous mess. There was nothing that kept the frizz away and there was a lot of it. I ended up having to do a completely wet refresh almost everyday.
After a fair amount of reading up I realized that glycerin (or lack thereof, in my case) is the game changer. Given that its the 3rd active ingredient in this gel, glycerin absorbs moisture from the air, causing my hair to swell, raising the cuticle and disrupting curl pattern, leaving me with coarse, frizzy hair. Needless to say, as fabulous as it is, this gel doesn't do very much for me.
